Customer Interview: Melanie.

A busy mother and professional on navigating skincare in a full, fast-paced life.

We spoke with Melanie, one of our earliest (international) customers, about her journey with the Elevate. In this short interview, she shares what led her to try microcurrent, how she experienced the first weeks, and the changes she started to notice over time.

This interview came from a voluntary customer call: we reached out to several early users to ask whether they were open to sharing their experience.

We spoke with Melanie, one of our earliest (international) customers, about her journey with the Elevate. 

In this short interview, she shares what led her to try microcurrent, how she experienced the first weeks, and the changes she started to notice over time.

This interview came from a voluntary customer call: we reached out to several early users to ask whether they were open to sharing their experience.

What were your thoughts or feelings in the period leading up to ordering the Elevate?

“Before I ordered the Elevate, I was going through quite a stressful time. I was tired all the time, and I also looked tired.

"I wanted something to help me look a little fresher."

I’ve always had issues with wrinkles around my eyes, they’ve bothered me my whole life. I’ve tried many treatments over the years, but I was never really convinced by anything.

When I found the Elevate, I checked the website, the pictures, the reviews, and it all sounded good. I thought: why not try it? Especially because I could do it at home in my own time. My life is very busy, so the flexibility really appealed to me.”

What were your thoughts or feelings in the period leading up to ordering the Elevate?

“Before I ordered the Elevate, I was going through quite a stressful time. I was tired all the time, and I also looked tired.

"I wanted something to help me look a little fresher."

I’ve always had issues with wrinkles around my eyes: they’ve bothered me my whole life. I’ve tried many treatments over the years, but I was never really convinced by anything.

When I found the Elevate, I checked the website, the pictures, the reviews, and it all sounded good. I thought: why not try it? Especially because I could do it at home in my own time. My life is very busy, so the flexibility really appealed to me.”

You mentioned you’ve tried many things before. What kind of treatments were those?

“I’ve done regular facials and needling. The problem is that I don’t have much time anymore. You have to book appointments, travel back and forth, keep it up regularly… it just wasn’t sustainable.

And if you keep doing those treatments over time, it adds up financially as well.

I also really like the Elevate because I’m not a big fan of Botox. I’ve always tried to avoid it, especially because I’m afraid of possible long-term side effects. That was another reason why I wanted to try the Elevate as an alternative.”

You mentioned you’ve tried many things before. What kind of treatments were those?

What held you back from choosing botox?

“I had considered botox before, yes. But in my research and talking to people, I felt it might not be the best option in the long term. So I was quite against going that route.

And then you started with the Elevate. How was your first experience?

“I wasn’t sure what to expect. The first time I used it, I didn’t feel anything and thought: is this how it’s supposed to be?

I re-watched the videos and instructions and realised I was doing it correctly. After that, it was super easy. I just added it to my evening routine.

It takes about five minutes. And if I skip it in the evening, I can do it the next morning: whenever it suits me. I really like that flexibility.”

What held you back from choosing botox?

Did you eventually start noticing changes?

“Yes. At first, I didn’t feel much, but sometimes I felt a little prickling on the skin, so I thought: okay, it is doing something.

The first real change I noticed was around six weeks later, when friends and colleagues started telling me I looked fresh or that I looked good. That was the moment I realised it was working.

Now I’ve been using it for almost three months, and I’m really starting to see the change. My face looks more toned, the skin feels tighter, and it’s more hydrated because I like to leave the gel on overnight.

Some of my fine lines are getting better as well. I wasn’t expecting much on the wrinkle side, so that’s a nice surprise.”

Has it changed anything in your daily life or how you feel?

“I think I just feel happier and more confident overall. I don’t have that dull and tired look anymore: at least on the outside. Inside I’m still tired because I have a three-year-old toddler who doesn’t sleep through the night, but at least my face looks radiant, haha.

That alone makes the day easier. And the hydrated feeling during the day really helps too.”

Is there anything you think we could improve?

“From a device perspective, everything is great. I’m very surprised by the battery life: I’ve only charged it once since I ordered it, even though I use it every day.

If I had one recommendation, it would be a bit more guidance at the beginning. Because when you first start, you don’t really know how it should feel or if you’re doing it right. A bit more explanation or support there could be helpful.”

What would you tell a friend who’s unsure about trying the Elevate?

“Honestly, no regrets.

If you want something you can easily do in your own time and actually see results, then definitely try it. I’ve already recommended it to a couple of friends. I wouldn’t do that if I wasn’t convinced.”
