Microcurrent

All information you need to know about the technology behind the Elevate: Microcurrent.

Your skin was never the problem:

it just never had the right kind of support.

Most skincare products only work on the surface

but none support the deeper layers that actually lift, tone, and define.

Creams can’t reach those layers, and Botox just blocks movement.

The Elevate was created to finally target the foundation of sculpted, awake-looking skin, naturally.

On this page we explain everything about the technology behind the Elevate: Microcurrent.

Microcurrent is a proven, risk-free technology used by professionals in salons since the 1970’s, supported by 18+ clinical studies confirming its effectiveness.

It’s globally recognized as a safe, non-invasive method for improving the skin: trusted for its gentle yet effective results. Because of its low current level, there’s no risk of burns or deep tissue damage.

The Elevate has been developed using scientific insights from medical research, aesthetic therapy, and cell biology. Together with experienced skin professionals, this technology has been translated into a safe and effective at-home device, that is:

  • CE-certified and compliant with European regulations.
  • Equipped with a safety chip to prevent overstimulation.
  • Trusted by leading skin experts.

Microcurrent works on two levels.

Celullar level

By increasing ATP (the cell’s energy source), Microcurrent accelerates processes like cell renewal, collagen production, and tissue repair, helping the skin renew and strengthen itself more efficiently.

Muscular level

Microcurrent activates the underlying facial muscles without visible contractions, supporting natural lift and definition. It also enhances microcirculation, improving the delivery of oxygen and nutrients:  essential for strong, healthy, resilient skin.

"Microcurrent works deep, yet feels gentle. It naturally stimulates both the skin and muscles: making the Elevate uniquely suitable for everday use."

Clinical Studies & Research.

  • 1) Medical Origins of Microcurrent

  • 2) Proven Safe for At-Home Use

  • 3) Improved Facial Firmness & Definition

  • 4) Lifting of the Eye & Brow Area

  • 5) Reduction of Wrinkle Depth

Microcurrent technology has been used in the medical field for decades, particularly for tissue repair, muscle activation and wound healing. The underlying mechanism, gentle electrical stimulation that increases cellular energy (ATP), provides the scientific foundation for its use in skincare. This process supports a firmer, healthier-looking complexion with improved skin tone over time.

A recent systematic review analysed 18 clinical studies on at-home devices, including microcurrent tools. Most trials reported improvements in wrinkles, skin laxity and overall firmness, with no serious side effects. The most common reaction was mild, temporary redness that faded quickly. The review concludes that microcurrent, when used correctly, is among the safest non-invasive technologies for skin rejuvenation.

In a randomized controlled trial with 108 women, microcurrent was used five times per week for 12 weeks. The treated group showed a clear increase in facial muscle firmness and a more defined facial contour, while the control group showed no changes. More than 80% of participants reported that their face looked firmer and more lifted. These results were confirmed with objective measurements, demonstrating that microcurrent can visibly improve facial tone.

A double-blind, placebo-controlled study with 50 participants tested a device combining microcurrent with radiofrequency. After several weeks of treatment, digital image analysis showed an average brow elevation of about 1.3 cm in the treated group — a visible lifting effect not seen in the placebo group. Sessions lasted only a few minutes and no significant side effects were reported. This study shows that microcurrent can noticeably tighten the upper face.

A controlled clinical study evaluated 30 short microcurrent sessions in women under 45. Forehead wrinkles decreased by 18% immediately after the treatment series, increasing to 21% one month later. Both participants and independent dermatologists reported a smoother, firmer appearance. The continued improvement after the final session suggests a lasting effect when microcurrent is used consistently.
